Why
do we find it
so easy to ask
about the small
things?
wondering.
watching kids
grow and seek
everyday thousands
of questions
fall from their minds
why this,
why that.
some never answered
but all voiced.
Why
do we stop saying
and start
bottling?
stacking them.
deep within
in files
labelled
not now.
dangerous.
caution.
Why
do we build walls
around these files.
to keep people
out?
yet the files
keep overflowing.
drawing you
back,
down the hole.
Why
do we strive for
perfection?
climbing over all
the questions.
the thoughts,
piled high.
what if?
why?
how?
I can’t.
Why
do we feel guilty
for asking the
deeper questions?
for seeking God’s truth,
through the
hard times.
Why
do we think our faith
has to be the
picture of perfection?
That if we
can hold it all together
then our faith will be stronger.
Why
don’t we openly
seek and ask
God,
even in the tough
times?
Why
don’t we
have faith
like little children?
openly learning
each day.
