Chasing the sun,
People come and people go
Some stay others run.
Each one leaving behind
Marks etched along our path.
Chasing the sun,
Along the path we walk
Onwards through the
Valleys and up the mountains
Some in circles,
Looping back through
The marks that remain.
Chasing the sun,
In the darkest of places
The reflection glimmers
Off those who stay.
Steady and constant.
Chasing the sun,
From the beauty of
Sunset peeking through
The clouds to the
Abundance of light in the
Sunrise after the fog lifts.
Chasing the sun,
Through all the fog
and shadows along the way.
We walk, stumbling and
Falling yet,
We walk
With whoever crosses our path
For however long they stay
We walk.
Chasing the sun,
Some steps hurt just to
Think about taking
While others are light
And joyful.
Chasing the sun,
In the stillness and the
Chaotic.
Constantly moving
Ever so timidly
Towards the One
Whom calls to us,
Guiding us along
And holding us up
Every step of the
Way.
Chasing the Son,
In amongst the mundane
And the pointless.
In the chaos
And the quiet.
In the wounds
And the scars.
Leaning on the One
Who lights the way.
