God,
When I cried out in anguish
You brought relief.
Peace, where there shouldn’t have been.
In my lowest moments, You did not leave my side
And the one time I feared
I had pushed You too far away.
Still, You were there, even then.
Your love is unmatched.
And Your eye is ever on me.
You guide me all the days of my life,
With whispers of love.
And one day,
I will see You face to face
And feel your arms around me.
Even if I were never to meet You in heaven,
I am content to have known Your love here on earth.
You have healed me over and over
And brought restoration where I thought there could be none.
Though my life was steeped in darkness,
You have shed a wonderful light around me
And given me joy, in place of tears.
No worldly pleasure can compare with being loved by You.
My greatest trial may yet be ahead of me,
But I shall face it knowing I am in Your hands.
For my God is mighty indeed,
And I will praise You for as long as I live.
God,
Let me live forever,
That I may unceasingly be in awe of You.
For Your glory is too great to comprehend,
And I shall need no less than eternity to fathom Your greatness.
Fly me to the heavens,
So, I can sing forever.
That I may worship without end.
Still, it would never be enough.
