Kourtney Kardashian, 43, and Travis Baker, 46, are legally married now! The pair had their courthouse ceremony last Sunday, which was held in downtown Santa Barbara, California.
Kourtney’s grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, and Travis’s father, Randy Barker were the pairs witnesses for the day.
On Monday, the Blink-182 drummer and the Poosh founder shared a series of black-and-white snaps of their big day.
Kourtney wore a white Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, featuring a bustier-style top and an embroidered “bleeding heart” detail on the bodice. She teamed the look with a sheer hooded veil attached to sheer sleeves (also Dolce & Gabbana). She accessorised the look with a diamond cross necklace and oxblood pumps.
Travis wore a fitted all-black suit and his favourite shades.

As per Kravis’s norm nothing about Kourtney’s dress was conventional. But what peaked my Christian antenna wasn’t her ‘tiny dress’ but the ‘bleeding heart’ detail in the centre.
Reference to Catholic Church
I have only seen a heart like that in the Catholic church, The Immaculate Heart of Mary and The Sacred Heart of Jesus. These hearts are seen in the images of Mary and Jesus in the Roman Catholic church. They refer to the Catholic view of the interior life of Mary and Jesus.

What view of Kourtney’s interior life she is trying to show us with her heart we are yet to decipher.
Reference to Mary, Mother of Jesus
My observations of similarities didn’t stop there. Kourtney completed her imitation of the ‘Virgin Mary’ with her D&G shoulder veil. If you think I’m pulling at straws judge for yourself…
This is the second bridal piece Kourtney has worn referencing Christian symbols and imagery. At their “practice wedding” in Las Vagas on April 4, Kourtney was spotted sporting an archival yellow Versace bustier with an Art Deco cross on the front.
Kourtney is among many celebrities who have used Christian imagery in their outfits and as fashion statements. We have seen this play out at the 2018 Met Gala in New York, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”.
In bringing awe and attention to themselves and their fashion piece, they neglect to bring the focus back to the true and living God. Our society now readily praises our religion as a fashion statement but not as a lifestyle (e.g cross necklaces and cross earings). But that is a whole other topic…
Travis and Kourtney are expected to have a ‘Big Fat Italian Wedding’ ceremony later this month. If these two outfits are anything to go by, we expect there to be a heavy emphasise on Catholic imagery and style at this wedding.
