No matter how much culture shouts
No matter how hard society clouts
Regardless of the social expectations
The political views
Women have never backed down
Never given up under pressure or
Taken any other cue
Than to fight for what was true
What’s important and right
Whether others agreed or not
She’s never given up her fight
And to this day women still stand
Regardless of one’s position
In choosing acceptance over understanding
We move forward without suspicion
Kind and caring to one another
Remembering that we are called
For this is the boldest action we can take
For each other’s sake
Not leaving anyone in the cold
To love each other fearlessly
Care for one another genuinely
And worship God fervently
Our actions will be proof
Are we awake or are we aloof?
As we put aside all that causes fear
And turn our eyes to heaven above
We’ll find it’s much easier to listen
To be kind
To understand
And more importantly to love
To support one another in the fight
And never lose sight
Supportive sisters unite
And keep each other alight
