What I would do if I had a valentine?
I can’t really tell you where to go on Valentine’s day cause I have never been on a Valentine’s date. But if I was to celebrate V-day here is what would make my heart skip a beat:
- A Picnic – Taking the time to set up a whole picnic in a cute location with a good view and good food. You already got me! This shows that you took the time to think about the date and if you get all my favourite food in the picnic basket. It shows that you are observant and a good listener. Bonus points.
- Sunrise and Breakfast – This is something simple that anyone can do. But doing it with someone you appreciate and care about makes it much more romantic. There is not much pressure to look cute or dress up. I love a chilled day with good company.
- Lunch – Going out of your way to take me to a place I have been wanting to go to for ages. I love food and have a list of places I still need to eat at. So ticking things off that bucket list would be much appreciated.
- Something New – Take me on an adventure but not something that’s life or death. I love getting up to something, whether its horseriding, tree surfing or an amusement park, I’m keen. Keep me on my toes.
- Something Sentimental – Like making an album of all our photos and special moments. Taking me back to the spot where we had our first date. Making me a mad Christian playlist or booklist. I know cheese, but Jesus over everything.
As you can see I’m quite low maintenance. Give me some food and keep me entertained and we are good to go.
Here is a list of things girls would want on Valentine’s day:
- Jewellery – This could be a necklace or earrings. And depending on how long you have been dating an engagement ring might be in the thought process.
- Flowers – Every girl loves a bunch of flowers unless they have hayfever. Try to get her favourite flowers if you know them.
- Clothes – Whether it be a cute new dress for the dinner you are about to take her on. Or a new pair of shoes to add to her collection. I know I would never say no to shoes.
- Handbag – If you are willing to cough up the coin. Get your girl a flashy new designer handbag or purse.
- Makeup – This one could go really well or really bad. So be careful you don’t get anything that might offend your missus. Pay attention to her makeup collection if you want to get something in this category.
- Dine Out – Some girls love getting glammed up. If your girl is one of those take her out for a classy dinner which gives her a reason to get dressed up.
The best advice I can give you is ‘know your partner’ the more you know them the better your gift or date ideas will be. Fella’s this is when paying attention pays off. And we get to know who actually listens to their girl.
