Defined as the capacity to recover quickly

Perhaps it comes naturally

Or it develops with experience

Either way, it’s a necessity for existence

When a pandemic hits our planet

Leaving us with the feeling of defeat

Nothing to do but socially distance

Running low on endurance,

Doing your best to be resilient

Resilience becomes your reinforcement

In times of anxiety

Feeling low and empty

Thoughts consume you

Trying to fight your way through

Uneasiness and worry take over

Needing resilience to tackle this monster

When millions of people are no longer employed

Suddenly life has a big void

Desperate for money and we plead

God gives us what we need

Our debts are paid by Jesus’ sacrifice

Resilience from salvation has no price

Our Heavenly Father sent His son

To free us, no longer do we need to run

The Word says “be strong and courageous”

Don’t give up ‘cos God is victorious

Seek your omnipotent creator

He will give you the resilience to conquer.
