Written in
the ink of love,
held within
the pages
of hope.

My story
is a work in
progress.
Though I don’t
hold the pen.

Rather I am
the main
character,
journeying
throughout
the pages.

Some pages
are a mess,
some darker
than others.

Covered in
tear stains
as the words
scream.

While others
are light,
as if they are
floating.

Some hold
dreams,
with
bold letters
and lots of
exclamation marks.

Others contain
fears written
in faded ink.

The journey is
not always
smooth and
contains
many…
pencil markings.

Sometimes I wish
I could read
ahead.
Then I remember
it isn’t certain
yet.

There are many
…
within the pages
though waiting
isn’t easy.

It grows patience,
along with new
experiences.

As my character builds,
I see the authors
hand
through
it all.

Rejoicing in the
good times
and crying
with me
through the hard
parts.

The best part
of the story is,
there are no
full stops.
only commas,
